The extracted list is held briefly in your browser’s local storage for one reason only — the popup closes when the payment tab opens, and without it your scan would be lost before the file could be built. It’s overwritten by your next extraction and never transmitted.

No. There is nothing to sign up for, no password, and no recurring charge. Install the extension, scan as many groups as you like for free, and pay only when you want to download a file.

$2.50 per group, charged through PayPal — so you can pay with a PayPal balance or any card, without needing an Indian payment method. Inside India it is ₹50 through Razorpay. The price you see is picked from your location; if it guessed wrong, there is a link under the price above to switch it.

Per group, for 24 hours. One payment opens the group you scanned — take it as CSV, Excel and vCard if you want all three, re-download as often as you like, and re-scan it inside that window at no extra cost. Group size makes no difference, whether it has 20 members or 1,000. After 24 hours, exporting that group again is a new payment.

Not currently. GroupSync runs on web.whatsapp.com in Chrome. Open your group there and the extension will pick it up.

No. GroupSync reads the group currently open in your own WhatsApp Web session, so you can only export groups you already belong to.

Yes. Members who aren’t in your address book still come through with their phone number; the name column simply shows a dash where WhatsApp gives us nothing usable.
